The origins of Monaco RV can be traced back to Junction City, Oregon, where Ray Mehaffey founded the Caribou Manufacturing Company in 1968. In just over 25 years, Caribou had designed and produced approximately 1,000 high-quality campers, many with individualized floor plans.
Caribou began manufacturing a mini-motorhome called the Monaco in 1971.
